Job description
- Coordinate the preparation of financial statements.
- Coordinate the preparation of various financial reports, special analysis and information reports.
- Prepare and present monthly management accounts (according to IFRS).
- Prepare and present and yearly statutory financial statements.
- Ensure that record systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards.
- Preparation of yearly budget, quarterly forecasts and ad hoc financial scenarios for business development.
- Cost controlling and performance tracking (Actual vs. Budget).
- Treasury & asset management.
- Analyze cash flow, cost controls, and expenses to guide business leaders.
- Analyze financial statements to pinpoint potential weak areas.
- Develop and implement finance, accounting, billing, controlling and auditing procedures.
- Oversee the book-keeping to ensure the proper maintenance of all accounting systems and procedures and review of all periodic accounting closing activities and corporate cost allocation.
- Implementation of necessary processes for improvement of efficiency and effectiveness of operations on a group level and oversee financial management of foreign operations to include developing financial and budget policies and procedures.
- Responsible for developing and sustaining beneficial cooperation with banks, investors, auditors, tax authorities etc and negotiate with suppliers and creditors for improving credit terms.
- Monitoring and following up on customers delayed payments.
- Approve and coordinate changes and improvements in financial and management information systems for the company and develop tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the CEO.
- Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
- Establish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards.
- Handle Investor Relations.
- MSc in Finance or Accounting or other relevant discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Senior-level Finance or Accountancy position.
- In depth knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
- Excellent knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
- Experience in strategic planning and execution.
- Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management.
- Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
- Ability to analyze financial data.
- Ability to prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
- Excellent professional written and verbal communication (Greek and English).
- Advanced interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate teams to produce quality material within tight time-frames.
- Ability to simultaneously manage several projects.
- Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
- Fluency in English.
- Fluency in German language is considered a plus.
