Job description

  • Coordinate the preparation of financial statements.
  • Coordinate the preparation of various financial reports, special analysis and information reports.
  • Prepare and present monthly management accounts (according to IFRS).
  • Prepare and present and yearly statutory financial statements.
  • Ensure that record systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards.
  • Preparation of yearly budget, quarterly forecasts and ad hoc financial scenarios for business development.
  • Cost controlling and performance tracking (Actual vs. Budget).
  • Treasury & asset management.
  • Analyze cash flow, cost controls, and expenses to guide business leaders.
  • Analyze financial statements to pinpoint potential weak areas.
  • Develop and implement finance, accounting, billing, controlling and auditing procedures.
  • Oversee the book-keeping to ensure the proper maintenance of all accounting systems and procedures and review of all periodic accounting closing activities and corporate cost allocation.
  • Implementation of necessary processes for improvement of efficiency and effectiveness of operations on a group level and oversee financial management of foreign operations to include developing financial and budget policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for developing and sustaining beneficial cooperation with banks, investors, auditors, tax authorities etc and negotiate with suppliers and creditors for improving credit terms.
  • Monitoring and following up on customers delayed payments.
  • Approve and coordinate changes and improvements in financial and management information systems for the company and develop tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the CEO.
  • Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards.
  • Handle Investor Relations.
Requirements

  • MSc in Finance or Accounting or other relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Senior-level Finance or Accountancy position.
  • In depth knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
  • Excellent knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution.
  • Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management.
  • Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
  • Ability to analyze financial data.
  • Ability to prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
  • Excellent professional written and verbal communication (Greek and English).
  • Advanced interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate teams to produce quality material within tight time-frames.
  • Ability to simultaneously manage several projects.
  • Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Fluency in German language is considered a plus.
